In 2012, I was nearly out of opportunities. I had moved across the country to Los Angeles and then lost my savings on a failed start-up business. I had a little room left on a couple of credit cards, a love for fashion and the skills to design product — so I risked it all and started Popular Demand. I wanted to create something that couldn’t be ignored. The brand’s aesthetic and mentality had to be one and the same: bold, loud, and unapologetic.
Popular Demand debuted with four t-shirt designs and zero fanfare. The early reception to the brand and my ‘all gas, no brakes’ mindset helped change that quickly. In no time, we catapulted from those four t-shirts to a full collection of headwear, tops, bottoms and accessories being carried by hundreds of stores worldwide and worn by many of the culture’s most influential icons.
The Popular Demand team now consists of young, hungry individuals that share my mentality and amplify my vision. We continue to create product and live a lifestyle that is true to Popular Demand's roots — bold, loud and unapologetic.
