Sales Manager

Hometown: Wilmington, CA Nickname(s): Jerryallday, My Government name is Gerardo, JerBear A typical day for me at the Popular Demand office is… Walk into work, turn my computer on and review my emails. Once I review my emails, I make a “ To-Do” list for the day. Then I follow up with our accounts and vendors and make sure we are on schedule with production and verify we are shipping on time. This is all being done while still having fun and joking around. I also follow up with our warehouse and make sure they are aware of any deliveries coming and tight deadlines. In addition, I review and analyze sale-through reports while discussing opportunities and updates from our sales team. What I did before Popular Demand: I was going to school full-time, interning at Popular Demand, and was working as a sales associate at Home Depot. Something I wish I knew when I was younger: I wish I knew how important knowledge and learning was. I didn’t take school serious until I got into my last year of college and real life was around the corner. Once I started paying attention and really learning things whether it was through peers, the streets, books, TV shows, or conversations, things got easier. If someone is willing to teach you anything, make sure to pay attention and ask questions. Now that I am older, I see the importance of being well-rounded, whether it’s being good at problem solving, executing a plan, or building something. My guilty pleasures are: Naps, Las Vegas, the Discovery channel, and vodka  Three things I can’t live without: My cellphone, my friends and a fresh haircut One weird fact about me: I’m just weird all together My favorite Popular Demand story: Our office has a steady traffic of artists, celebrities, athletes, models, etc. During the time that R&B artist Tank's song “Shots Fired” was popping, we played that record over and over in the office. I had no clue who Tank was or let alone what he looked like. One day, the song was stuck in my head so I was walking around the office singing the hook subconsciously and Tank just so happened to be on our couch. He looks up at me and is super hyped saying “That’s how you know you have a hit!”
